Three Things You Should Know about Ministers – 1 Corinthians 3:5-15
3 (5) After all, what is Apollos? And what is Paul? We are ministers through whom you came to believe; each doing what the Lord gave him to do. (6) I planted the seed, Apollos watered it; but God made it grow. (7) So then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is of any significance; but the one who causes the seed to grow, namely, God. (8) Now the one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose; and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. (9) We are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
(10) By the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation; and someone else builds upon it. But let each man be careful how he builds upon it; (11) for no one can lay any foundation other than the one which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ. (12) If any man builds upon this foundation with gold, silver, and precious gems, or with wood, hay, and stubble, (13) let it be known that each man’s work will be revealed. The Judgment Day will make it evident, because it will be revealed with fireāthe fire will test the quality of each man’s work. (14) If any man’s work which he has built upon the foundation survives, he shall receive a reward. (15) If any man’s work is burnt up, he shall suffer loss. Yet he himself shall be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
