Genesis 1:26-2:4 Reading the Passage

The Pinnacle of God’s Creation – Genesis 1:26-2:4

1 (26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. (27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (28) And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

(29) And God said, I have given you every seed-bearing plant that is upon the surface of the whole earth, and every tree that bears fruit with seed in it; to you they shall be for food. (30) And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens, and to everything that creeps upon the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green plant for food; and it was so. (31) And God saw everything that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

2 And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all that they contained. (2) And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had made. (3) And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it; because in it he rested from all his work that God had created and made. (4) This is an account* of the heavens and of the earth when they were created. In the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven.
