Revelation 2:18-29 Reading the Passage

Do Not Engage in Immoral Conduct – Revelation 2:18-29

2 (18) To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: This is what the Son of God—he whose eyes are like a flame of fire and whose feet are like polished bronze—says: (19) I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your present deeds are greater than your former ones. (20) Nevertheless, I hold this against you: You are tolerating that woman Jezebel, the one who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. (21) I have given her time so that she might repent; but she is unwilling to repent of her immorality. (22) Listen; I will throw her into a bed of great tribulation, and also those who are committing adultery with her—unless they repent of her practices. (23) I will strike her children dead; then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches the hearts and minds, and I will give to each one of you what your deeds deserve. (24) But to the rest of you in Thyatira, all those who do not adhere to this teaching, all those who do not know “the deep things of Satan,” as they are accustomed to saying, I tell you that I will not impose any other burden upon you. (25) Only hold on to what you have until I come. (26) To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations. (27) He shall rule them with an iron scepter; he shall smash them to pieces like pottery—just as I have received authority from my Father. (28) I will also give him the morning star. (29) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
